About Us
In 2017, our family was searching for a place in a more rural area and found a 35 acre ranch in Franktown Colorado. Having a common love of animals, we started out by purchasing 4 chickens and quickly expanded to 6 alpacas.
After spending a lot of time with the alpacas, seeing their endearing personalities, noticing what easy keepers they are and learning about the endless uses of their fiber, we were instantly hooked.
Being able to combine our love for animals and the great outdoors, Rising Moon Ranch was born. We have since grown to 18 alpacas, 2 llamas, over 20 chickens, 5 angora goats, 4 cats, 2 dogs and a turkey.
The highlight of our day is spending time in the barn with the animals. Ranch life has filled our soul and we couldn’t be happier. We are truly blessed.
